We are seeking a mainly office-based Health and Safety Co-ordinator in the Dartford area

It is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previously worked in an engineering environment.

We are a successful family run plant maintenance company of 35 years, covering both PPMs and breakdown work to commercial premises in the London area. We pride ourselves on our low turnover of staff, which we achieve by maintaining a fair work balance.

The Role:

Making sure quality of service is provided to each and every job.

Regular close contact with our Work Controller is required for RAMS to be written and put in place ready to schedule job allocation. Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting of Health and Safety related matters to senior engineering team.

Organising relevant Engineer’s training when it expires.

Tool Box Talks.

An annual audit is performed by our Health and Safety consultants. Who are also available at any time for an daily advice.

We use a Health and Safety programme called “Atlas” to perform various Health and Safety duties. Training will be given in the use of this programme.

Site inspections to mobile Engineers.

Engineer’s van stock inspections.

Answering the phones and emails to deal with engineers/client queries.

Any other Ad Hoc duties to keep the company running smoothly.

Skills needed:

Nebosh general certificate or equivalent

Team player with excellent communication skills - both written and spoken

Full UK driving license essential (use of company vehicle for site visits)

Ideally some engineering or relevant industry experience

Salary up to £26k

Monday to Friday 7:30 to 16:00
