QA Technician
Based in Rochester, Kent
Salary: £21,500 + £600 Twilight Shift Allowance
Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week on a rotating pattern between two shifts which rotate weekly (Week 1 - 6am-2pm & week 2 - 2pm-10pm)
Permanent position
Duties and Responsibilities:
* To ensure the product leaves the site according to its specification
* To conduct & record hourly line checks including metal detection, fail safe, X-ray & average weight.
* To ensure all date codes and labelling of packs and boxes etc. are accurate, readable, and according to customer requirements
* To ensure all products/pallets on hold are correctly managed and treated appropriately
* To maintain the appropriate level of retained samples of daily production in the correct conditions and ensure they are regular checked for quality/defects etc
Key Skills required:
* Previous QA or food handling experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirable
