With over 400 staff and expectations for this to increase further in the near future, Rapport Housing and Care has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Payroll and Contracts Assistant to join our hardworking HR team based in Rochester, Kent on a full-time basis.
Responsible to the Head of HR, the successful candidate will fulfil a wide range of interesting responsibilities, including:
Processing and issuing contractual documentation in respect of our workforce
Overseeing monthly processing of payroll (training will be given)
Recording staff absences and holidays
Collating and analysing data, and preparing management information reports
Answering the phone and helping with direct enquiries.
In addition to this you will be expected to assist the Head of HR with other projects and administrative duties as required
This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring individual with plenty of opportunity and scope to develop your role. The successful candidate should be a strong communicator, both verbally and in written forms and be comfortable communicating internally at all levels across the organisation as well as externally. You\'ll be a multitasker with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and prioritise your work load, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Ideally you will have previous experience working in a similar role with the ability to work on your own initiative.
Must have excellent attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy in your work.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good telephone manner.
Knowledge of HR and payroll systems
