An exiting opportunity exists to join a busy and growing engineering and manufacturing team. The successful applicant will be able to assist the organisation with maintaining our environmental and quality certifications and approvals and will have a genuine passion for environmental and social values. We are looking or someone to drive continuous improvements in these areas and promote solutions to environmental and social value issues at RDDS, with our supply chain, customers and wider stakeholders.

Tasks will include the following along with other related tasks assigned by the RDDS general Manager:

1. Performing Internal Audits of the Environmental and Quality Management Systems
2. Ownership of the Environmental Management System and management of external audits of our EMS
3. Completion of First Article Inspection Reports on product assembled at RDDS.
4. Perform selective Goods Inwards Quality checks as and when required.
5. Assist in the performance of internal and supplier failure analysis.
6. Perform project Safety Audits and report the findings.
7. To support the Quality Manager in the completion of Quality Assurance activities throughout RDDS
8. Any other related tasks assigned by the RDDS General manager

The ideal candidate will:

1. Have a positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
2. Have experience/understanding of electronics and or mechanical engineering
3. Be familiar with measuring instruments, (electrical and mechanical).
4. Be familiar with Root Cause Analysis, 5Y, 8D or similar investigation techniques.
5. Have a genuine passion for environmental and social values
6. Be a champion for and promote environmental and social value initiatives beyond those required by the standards to which our organisational certification and approvals are measured.
