They are looking for someone with several years of experience in accounting preferably with a minimum of an AAT qualification. You will need to be up to date with accounting principles and be able to prepare statutory accounts as you will be involved in preparing complex sets of accounts for a varied client base with multiple accounts calculations for some very complex clients. Supporting the Assistant Manager, Partner, and regional Partners and must be able to communicate well with both internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
The role would suit an organised individual with attention to detail, with the ability to work commercially in supporting clients and working to identify new business opportunities for the firm. There is no requirement for this role to have previous VAT experience, this is an opportunity for an individual with accounting knowledge and qualifications to apply those skills to a role within the VAT team. The main focus of the role is to be able to prepare complex VAT calculations using your accounting knowledge. The firm will offer full training and you will also have the opportunity to develop your VAT knowledge, to pursue a VAT qualification if you wish, and to provide VAT advice to clients. You will be IT literate and be confident with MS Word & Excel as well as using the Tour Operators` Margin Scheme (TOMS). In turn, they offer an excellent CPD environment with the ability for you to progress your career whilst working for a reputable firm that offers flexible working and benefits to their staff.
