Position: Support Worker
Location: Barham, Kent
Hours: Full Time, Part Time and Bank Contracts available. Days and Nights including some weekends on a rota system.
Salary Details: £10.73 per hour (Hourly rate shown is inclusive of an additional £1.50ph secure supplement, based on FT hours).
We are currently looking to appoint Support Workers to join our friendly team. Are you a committed individual who wants to work with a company that understands how important Support Workers are to our patients’ recovery? You will be working with adults detained under the Mental Health Act with Learning Disabilities, mental health issues and Autism at Cedar House Hospital, Barham.
Essential:
• A caring attitude and a desire to make a difference
• Experience working within a care setting and young people and/or adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and mental health problems preferred but not essential
• Eligibility to work in the UK
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker you will, under the direction and leadership of the nursing staff, ensure the highest standards of care and support are delivered to patients, encompassing all activities of daily living. You will act as a role model for patients and be actively involved in engaging patients with daily activities, educational programmes, behavioural support programmes and leisure/recreational activities as outlined in individual care plans.
Support Workers will work a mixture of days and night shifts which will include weekends on a rota system. Full time, Part time and Flexi Bank shifts are available.
Upon receipt of your application, we will conduct telephone interviews in the first instance, followed by inviting you to attend our Hospital to meet with key staff and undertake a site tour.
