Job Title: Stock Controller and Purchasing Administrator

Salary: £25-40,000 depending on experience

Location: Tonbridge

Hours: 7am - 4:30pm

Our client, a fast paced and friendly family firm, are looking for a practical and ambitious individual to join their team as a Stock Controller and Purchasing Administrator.

This role is varied, being based mostly in the office, but with plenty of opportunity to go out and get hands on in the onsite warehouse. Due to the nature of the role, there is no remote working available.

Duties include:

* Effectively managing stock availability, using the NetSuite stock management system, to ensure demand is always met.
* Supporting the warehouse team, with the potential for this to progress into a management role for the right candidate.
* Building and maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers, whilst negotiating hard to get the very best prices when purchasing stock.
* Raising purchase and work orders accurately and efficiently.
* Producing accurate reports on stock movement and fluctuation.

The successful candidate will have:

* A real desire to progress and develop, learning new skills quickly.
* Experience in a hands-on trade or warehouse manager type role.
* Experience of stock management and inventory planning and using MRP systems.
* A sharp, practical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
* Good relationship building skills.
* Calmness under pressure and in difficult situations.
* Confident IT skills, including MS Office, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
