My client is currently looking for a Plant Supervisor to support the Plant Manager and site operational team in Maidstone.

Operations -

- Liaise with Plant Manager to ensure daily site checks and routines are maintained to ensure the site remains both compliant and maintains operational performance.
- Adherence to all Health & Safety legislation and ensure site and personnel are operating with regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge and Understanding of the corporate management systems.
- Day to day plant operations
- Keeping a check on staff making sure the daily jobs are being carried out and are
correct
- Responding to alarms on the plant as soon as possible.
- In charge of maintenance on site either doing the job yourself or giving it to another
member of staff
- Ensure all defects and issues are reported and dealt with in a timely manner
- Some first-line maintenance to help maintain pumps, pipework, and process.
- Make sure the site is always clean as possible.
- Taking responsibility for the plant when the plant manager is not on site.
- Reporting back to Plant manager when major issues/non-conformances or problems
occur with plant/process/staff.
- Get involved with the paperwork side of the plant, when possible, to get more
understanding of plant manager role to increase skills.
- Ensure daily on-site report is accurate, data collection and assisting the Plant Manager
with daily/weekly/monthly project reporting.
- Ensure all procedures are followed and implemented.

Person Specification -

- Process and Operational Experience desired but not essential.
Be familiar with computer-controlled plant operations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A positive flexible attitude and ability to work shifts
- A telehandler or forklift truck licence is desired, but training will be given if you don't have an active licence.
- A hands-on and proactive approach
- A basic understanding of Health and Safety requirements at work (Additional training
will be given).
- A willingness to work hard, be adaptable to business requirements and assist
operations when overtime is required.
- An ability to manage your own time effectively and the ability (after training) to problem-solve independently.
