Cover Supervisor / Cover Teacher - Performing Arts / Drama Specialist

Full Time Role

This secondary academy seek to appoint a new Cover Supervisor or Cover Teacher specialising in Performing Arts or Drama from February 2022 and until July 2022. Cover roles, like this one, are integral to the ongoing operation of a school and the successful outcomes of its students. For the candidate they can be a rewarding way of using your skills and background to benefit young people.

The central responsibility in the role will be the delivery of a fun and engaging curriculum of Drama or Performing Arts lessons to students in years 7 - 11. In addition to its core purpose the role also provides pastoral support and mental health support to students. It ensures that students are in the correct classrooms and at times provides small group and 1:1 learning for pupils not able to join normal learning or needing catch up tuition.

In order to be considered for this Cover Supervisor / Cover Teacher role you must have:

* A basic understanding of the current secondary school curriculum
* Experience teaching or supporting in Performing Arts / Drama
* A proven ability to work with students of secondary school age
* A strong personality and character able to regularly meet challenges and overcome them
* The ability to adapt and innovate in a classroom
