Job Title: Volunteer and Activities Coordinator
Salary: £23,000
Location: South Kent

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and well organised individual to work as a Volunteer and Activities Coordinator managing their friendly volunteer team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that love to make a different to peoples lives.
Duties include:
* Be responsible for administrative tasks in relation to the volunteer programmes ensuring all volunteer database records, resources and information are kept fully up to date
* Attend meetings and training courses as required, including regular supervision meetings
* Proactive contribution to the marketing and promotion of services, produce volunteer bulletins, work with local media, and provide talks and presentations as appropriate. Develop new initiatives for volunteer-based roles identifying opportunities to provide rewarding roles for volunteers to further support the work of Carers' Support East Kent.
* Organise motivational volunteer events and activities
* Organising and running events for Carers
* Review and update Volunteering Policy to ensure best practice approaches are employed in all aspects of volunteer recruitment, training, and management
* Effectively manage all volunteering enquiries providing the initial point of contact for applicants
* Process applications and ensure interviews and full DBS checks are conducted prior to appointing any volunteer
* Develop and deliver induction programme for all volunteers, in partnership with other organisations as appropriate
* Develop, promote, organise, and evaluate courses and workshops that form our volunteer training programme
* Evaluate volunteer motivations and as far as possible match volunteers with the right volunteering opportunities
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience of recruiting, training supervising and managing volunteers
* Awareness of the needs of Carers and those cared for
* People management skills
* Volunteer Experience
* Great knowledge of MS Office
* Excellent organisational skills
