Our Aylesford, Kent site is currently looking for a Logistics Controller to join our Transport team and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operations of the Logistics Department.



The key accountabilities and responsibilities for the role include:

·Supervising the daily operations of the department including personnel management, ensuring high standards of service, safety and housekeeping are maintained.

·Achieving & maintaining department KPIs & producing monthly KPI reports

·Planning all core fleet deliveries, taking into account road transport legislation, available vehicles and drivers and site-specific information

·Allocating work to staff that the jobholder has responsibility for in a fair manner while ensuring appropriate resource is focussed on the areas it needs to be.

·Carrying out weekly inspections on vehicle condition in line with company lease agreement & safety equipment installed on fleet vehicles in line with company requirements

·Maintain Site Waste operations and ensuring correct waste streams procedure are followed and waste disposed through authorised contractors in line with current legislation with full audit trail



The successful candidate will require:

·Supervisory experience

·Knowledge of Road Transport & Working Time Legislation

·Knowledge of FORS

·Awareness of export legislation and warehousing

·Load planning Experience

·Good geographical awareness

·Customer Focused and Positive Attitude

·Time & people management skills

·Excellent Communication

·Attention to detail

·Excellent problem-solving skills

·Transport Operations Qualification (CPC or equivalent) or willing to train
