Exciting new position for a Demand Planner with a global manufacturing organisation.

The Position itself:

The role of Demand Planner is required to continue to support the Demand Planning function during a time of increased project work.
An understanding of FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) helpful
The Demand Planner will maintain forecasting tools and manage data quality to ensure robust predicted demand figures are generated to inform the Sales and Operational planning (S&OP) process.
The Demand Planner will work alongside the Accounts Team, Production Planning and Customer Service’s to ensure the latest finished goods demand plan is reflected in SAP and changes are well analysed, to drive system maintenance and forecast accuracy working with distribution partners.
The Demand Planner will maintain the ongoing 12 month forecast for UK business, to support the entry, storage and generation of forecasts and to produce accurate KPIs.
You will maintain the Manugistics system and continuously improve forecast accuracy. 
Working with a cross-functional team the Demand Planner will make recommendations and ensure that inventory & customer service risks as well as business growth opportunities are highlighted via S&OP so that appropriate business decisions are made.
You will lead improvements to processes and share good practice within the Demand Planning team.


The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience of working as a Demand Planner 
Any experience of SAP, Manugistics and/or appropriate Demand Planning tools required
Previous experience of managing large SKU portfolios
Excellent communication skills – internal & external; written, verbal & presentation
A high level of attention to detail and extremely results oriented
Good knowledge of MS Office – particularly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
French Speaking would be an advantage although not considered essential
