This role is about helping people in the community manage their mental health and address issues that are affecting it.
The people you support will have long-term mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety and personality disorder. They will also be experiencing complicated social factors such as housing issues, financial difficulties, and social isolation, which are affecting their ability to live independently.
You will empower each client to be in charge of their own recovery: with your assistance, they will develop a personalised support plan based around their goals and aspirations.
You will help people develop techniques to become more aware of, and manage, their mental health. You will also work with other local organisations to put any other support in place that people need.
This role is suited to someone who has a good professional understanding of mental health issues and cares about helping people regain their independence.
The role requires:
-The ability to develop supportive and trusting relationships with people
-Experience of delivering mental health support
-Knowledge of mental health services in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley
-The ability to develop good relationships with other professionals and organisations
-Experience of working independently and managing your own workload
-Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Contract: Fixed Term until March 2023
