Early and late shift Monday to Friday - (6am-2pm & 12-8pm)



A rare and exclusive opportunity has arisen for a Transport & Logisics Supervisor to join this well-established business on the outskirts of Maidstone.

This area of the business is growing rapidly, so requires someone who can manage existing demands whilst having the foresight to support this growth.

Duties are varied, but include:

* Supervising the daily operations of the department including personnel management, ensuring high standards of service, safety and housekeeping are maintained.
* Achieving & maintaining department KPIs & producing monthly KPI reports
* Planning all core fleet deliveries, considering road transport legislation, available vehicles and drivers and site-specific information
* Allocating work to staff that the jobholder has responsibility while ensuring appropriate resource is focused on the areas it needs to be.
* Carrying out weekly inspections on vehicle condition in line with company lease agreement & safety equipment installed on fleet vehicles in line with company requirements
* Maintain Site Waste operations and ensuring correct waste streams procedure are followed



To be successful you will have/be:

* Experience of supervising within a similar industry
* Knowledge of Road Transport & Working Time Legislation
* Awareness of export legislation and warehousing
* Load planning Experience
* Good geographical awareness
* Customer Focused and Positive Attitude
* Time & people management skills
* Excellent Communication
* Attention to detail
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Transport Operations Qualification (CPC or equivalent) or willing to train
