Junior Buyer

6 Month FTC initially with a view to going permanent!



This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established business in the West Kent area as a Junior Buyer, learning and developing your skills with a view to progressing your career long term.

Working within a busy Supply Chain team, your role as Junior Buyer will be critical to the success of the team.

Your duties as a Junior Buyer will include:

* Generating new orders and making changes to existing orders in line with the requirements of the company
* Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and negotiating contract terms
* Identifying new opportunities
* Visiting suppliers and conducting audits
* Reporting and accurate recording of data regarding performance of vendors
* Accurately managing all systems
* Processing purchase orders



To be successful in the position you will have/be:

* Outstanding communication skills
* Problem-solving skills
* Organised
* Negotiation skills
* Administrative skills
* Proficient using MRP systems
* Experience using SAP is desirable
