Due to our growth we are looking for a passionate Health & Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic and talented team in our busy Tunbridge Wells Head Office. You will assist the Facilities Manager by coordinating all Health & Safety processes on site.

Your Responsibilities:

- Being a first point of contact for all Health & Safety matters across all departments.
- Regular liaison with departments on Health &Safety updates or concerns and escalate all issues which have the potential to harm.
- Assist in establishing goals and objectives regarding the development and implementation of Health & Safety programmes.
- Key personnel in Health & Safety committee ensuring meetings are timetabled, planned and recorded in a timely manner.
- Keep up to date with changes to workplace regulations or legislation.
- Ensure all Risk Assessments are relevant and up to date.
- Coordinate all Accidents / Incidents / Near Miss reports with accurate data ensuring all necessary people are interviewed, informed and
incidents are being actioned.
- Maintain and update “health.safety” Teams page as a key Health & Safety resource for all Childrensalon employees.
- Coordinate Health & Safety training needs from staff induction to task specific training and skills fade training. Ensure consistencies across all
departments.
- Administer BeAwaken E-learning for Health & Safety training requirements across all departments.
- Responsible for First Aid / Fire Warden training deployment and cover for all premises.
- Liaise with all teams on planned Fire drills ensuring all staff complete at least one a year.
- Keep accurate and timely Health & Safety training records to ensure re-certification and refresher training is completed as necessary (eg
CPC, Harness Training, Pasma etc).
- Establish and maintain good relations with colleagues at all levels to promote positive attitudes, safe work practices and adherence to safe
work standards.
- Lead by example, providing guidance and motivation to employees to work safely.

Key skills:

- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety principles, policies, procedures and regulations.
- Ideally will have IOSH or other Health & Safety qualification.
- Willingness to continually develop own Health & Safety experiences and knowledge, for the benefit of the company and your colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills including administrative and computing skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to think independently and effectively.
- Ability to communicate across all levels within the company with a positive attitude
- Quality checking, keen eye for detail.
- Trouble shooting, problem solving and finding solutions.
