Personal Injury/Credit Hire Claims Handler

Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Personal Injury/Credit Hire Claims Handler to join an expanding Claims Management organisation. It can be based anywhere in the country, but from time to time will need to attend the office either in Kent or in Scotland – whichever is nearer.
The role will require you to review case history on file assignments while liaising with other departments as required to establish where liability for the accident rests and investigate the validity of third party claims. Monitor own caseload to a high standard, ensuring all actions are documented correctly, and the claims system is kept up to date. Manage all aspects of third party vehicle damage, personal injury and third party property damage claims presented by a third party directly or via solicitors, insurers and accident management companies. Handle all aspects of credit hire claims as a Non ABI GTA Insurer.
Suitable applicants will have a sound knowledge of Motor Claims, particularly third party claims with experience of dealing with Fast Track personal Injury claims within the MOJ portal and OIC. You should have strong negotiation and persuasion skills and have knowledge and experience of the CPR. You are required to have a good knowledge of credit hire caselaw and its application in the day to day handling of credit hire claims and have knowledge of the ABI GTA.
