Sunray Engineering Limited are a leading and specialist Manufacturer and Installer of Steel Security and Fire Doors as well as associated products such as Louvre Panels, Solid Panels and Access Hatches to a diverse range of specifiers across the UK and Worldwide. The products are manufactured to exacting standards due to the Security or Fire rating performance required and therefore attention to detail is critical. Due to continued growth we now seek to enhance our production team with the addition of a Laser Machine Programmer/Operator. The Business currently runs 3 laser machines all used for slightly different variants and provides us with the ability to alternate in the case of routine maintenance or a technical issue. Naturally we require an experienced operator who has a technical understanding and enjoys working in a team environment. Sunray are based in Ashford, Kent approximately 10 minutes off of Junction 10 of the M20 and central to all major routes in and out of the region.

The position will suit an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable individual, to help support and strengthen the Manufacturing processes and ideally the person would have proven experience within a similar environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Minimum of 2 years’ Experience within a machinery environment, working with CNC Flat Bed Laser / Folding Machines, knowledge of Amada / RAS machinery would be an advantage.

• Must be able to read and understand CAD engineering drawings and experience with CNC Programmes and Software such as ABE Planner / 2D CAD or similar.

• Good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure within a busy and demanding department and often to timed deadlines.

• Working and adhering to accredited standards, audited processes and procedures and the ability to ensure compliance and conformance is measured and monitored and adhered too.

Salary: DOE
Permanent: Full Time
Hours: 40.25 Hours per week, with a 45 minute paid break
Worked: Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm
