Electrical Installations Lecturer/Programme Director

Part time will be considered

Our client, an Education Provider based in various locations around Kent, is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Installations Lecturer to deliver quality learning to adults wanting to retrain and/or upskill.

Lecturer Responsibilities:

* Prepare and deliver lessons on study programmes and courses as directed, and in line with guidelines using all resources provided
* Undertake the role of a Personal Tutor for students, ensuring students are supported
* Monitor student attendance
* Invite regular feedback from students
* Organise external activities as appropriate
* Contribute to the planning, setting and achievement of recruitment, attendance, retention, achievement, progression, and destination targets
* Contribute to the creation and updating of risk assessments of working areas and practices

Programme Director Responsibilities:

* Plan a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet the local/regional skills requirements, and the needs of the student, in liaison with the Department leadership team
* Lead the delivery team so all students receive up-to-date course information
* Provide relevant course/programme updates, monitor course/programme development and monitor student progress, behaviour and attitudes.
* Work in partnership with the Department leadership team.

General Responsibilities:

* participate in the staff support & development scheme and to undertake training
* Take a lead in creating or to promote a positive, inclusive ethos that challenges discrimination and promotes equality and diversity
* Comply with legislative requirements and College policies and guidelines
* keep up to date with the skills required to fulfil the role.
* undertake any other duties commensurate with grade as may be reasonably requested.
* Protect staff and learners from all preventable harm as per Safeguarding procedures.

Person Specification:

* Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills with the ability to work to deadlines
* Able to motivate, encourage and support students
* Good IT skills
* Up to date industrial experience and knowledge
* Experience lecturing/training/teaching
* Appropriate professional qualification minimum, level 3 qualified and hold the ECS Gold Card
* Must have 1 year teaching experience, post-graduation of teaching qualification to qualify for Programme Director position
* Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or PGCE to qualify for Programme Director position
* Assessor/Verifier Awards
