We are looking for a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper with 3 years experience to join our friendly team in Maidstone, working a 16 hour week. The ideal candidate would need to the following experience:
• Bookkeeping using cloud software, particularly QuickBooks online
• Liaising with accountants to ensure smooth hand-over of year-end data
• Supervising the team on a day to day basis, ensuring that both clients and peers are supported
• Preparing VAT returns (Knowledge of TOMS calculations would be an advantage)
• Overseeing payroll processing
• CIS calculations and returns
• Assisting clients with their bookkeeping issues
• Training clients to use QuickBooks
The ideal candidate would also be expected to
• Work on their own initiative, including travelling to clients (currently all Kent based)
• Have good communications skills
• Good task planning and time management
• Keep up to date and research topics relevant to their work.
• Assist the team with business development by writing blogs and web content
