As an Electrical Equipment Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing electrical aspects of combat and automation system hardware products, including detailed design tasks in respect of both new products and technology insertion into legacy products.

Your primary responsibilities as a Senior Electrical Equipment Design Engineer will involve:



* Delivering practical electrical aspects of combat and automation system hardware product solutions
* Assessing, engineering, verifying and qualifying the: functional, data management, electrical power and EMC aspects of the product and its components to the necessary quality, performance and safety requirements
* Requirements analysis and derivation at sub-system and product level, in addition to defining and capturing qualification statements/cases against requirements
* Providing technical guidance on areas of specific expertise within the team
* Carrying out detailed electrical engineering design tasks to include: feasibility studies, research, design, development and post-design services; involving the entire engineering lifecycle to meet defined project and business requirements
* Specifying the components, spatial layouts, interconnections and integration of functional elements to meet performance requirements for all aspects of electrical product design



Your skills and qualifications:



* Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in the relevant engineering subject
* Experienced engineer with electrical engineering development experience in the packaging of electrical, automation or combat system products
* Must have experience of operating in a defence or high safety integrity environment
* Proven experience of relevant industry standards
* Awareness with all phases of the engineering lifecycle and configuration control systems
* Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels
* Must be SC cleared or the eligibility to become SC Cleared
