For this role we require a min of 1-2 years Insurance experience in any area of Insurance with solid Excel skills.

Insurance Operations Technician to support the team and the wider business with all matters relating to the processing of risk and premium bordereaux data.
This role is responsible for working on delegated and transactional business, working with cover holders to resolve queries, business units across various locations and reporting to our capacity providers.
This is based in the Chelmsford office. 2 days in the office and the rest from home remotely
Drawing on an array of personal and professional skills, you will juggle multiple priorities to process all relevant data, working to deadlines each month as well as supporting process improvements.

Your Role:
* Coordinate and liaise with our offshore team regarding the processing (from a data and accounting entry point of view) of the risk and premium bordereaux being sent in by our cover holders each month;
* Work with underwriters and cover holders to resolve data queries raised in trying to process the bordereaux through our systems;
* Work with Pen IBA to resolve accounts queries and to maintain acceptable levels of unallocated cash to Pen and/ or carriers;
* Create Excel reports (risk bordereaux and payables/premium bordereaux) to send on to our carriers;
* Suggest and support the implementation of process improvements;
* Process mailmerges for Pen Underwriting PA/Travel team;
Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
* Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPS and pivot tables);
* Keen to learn and happy picking up new concepts quickly;
* Build good rapport and comfortable picking up the phone to liaise with underwriters and cover holders regarding data queries;
* Logical approach and capable of understanding data validations/data behaviour concepts quickly;
* Willingness to be trained and work remotely;
* Ability to take ownership of processes and issues end to end from investigation to resolution;
* Insurance experience essential.
