VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR
Kent and Medway
Full Time Monday to Friday 37 hours
Salary £19,500 - £21,000 per annum
Or Part time would be considered
Pro rata salary for 21 hours £11,067 - £11,918 per annum

A rare opportunity to join our very special Macmillan Crossroads volunteer service as one of our coordinators has now become available, and we want you to apply!

The role is offered at full time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday or as part time 21 hours.

You would be a valued member of our small team of integrated coordinators, recruiting, managing, and matching volunteers. Supporting people living with cancer, their families, and unpaid Carers who are caring for people with a variety of health conditions. You will be working alongside our Crossroads Care Managers, and Project Managers for Young Carers and the Dementia Outreach.

The right person for this team will have plenty of common sense and be able to provide a listening ear, supporting people to access the help they need at difficult times. Our service offers people appropriate information and guidance based on their individual circumstances and needs, so flexibility and good communication skills are essential attributes needed to carry out this special role.

The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative; will have a sensitive and sympathetic approach to difficult situations, strong organisational skills, and the ability to co-ordinate a large team of volunteer workers, so if you have experience of working in health, social care or third sector organisations, recruiting and managing volunteer workers and undertaking assessments of needs -
we would love to hear from you.

The role is based in our Wateringbury office, but travel will be required to support clients and volunteers in the community and in their own homes - so a full driving licence with the use of own car is essential. A high level of computer literacy is also required.
