This role is an Engineering/Production planner role but there will be a need to assist with other Engineering tasks as and when required.

The planner will be required to work with the Planning Engineer and carry out other adhoc engineering admin tasks.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* Check material availability on ERP system.
* Load Work Orders (WOs) to deal with NCMRs (Non-conformance material report).
* Place Purchase Orders (PO)s into the ERP system and order the materials from suppliers.
* Define descriptions for build items following catalogue build-up part numbers and load any Router and BOM into the ERP system.
* Attend the weekly open orders meeting as and when required and lead it.
* To be aware and be able to work when required on costing processes within the ERP system
* Aware on how to use inventory grids for enquiries in the ERP system.
* In the absence of the planning Engineer understand the PRP (Project Resource Planning) and MPS (Master Production Schedule) regeneration system and assist in this when required.
* Aware, learn and understand AirBorn capacity planning and give due dates on customer POs as and when required.
* Aware and understands the weekly situation on what components are arriving late. Chase the components due to be delivered and keep management up to date on due dates and changes.
* Be able to prepare and issue reports to management on, Margin, Open order book value, Past Due analysis report (Factored and manufactured), On time delivery report (Manufactured and Components), Time study between others.
* Is aware and understands the company policies, ISO9001 and AS9100 procedures
* The planner will be required to assist the Engineers with other adhoc Engineer tasks and projects as and when required.
