An exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growing company based in the U.K. Specialising in a highly technical sector, this vacancy offers the opportunity to work with some of the biggest and most cutting edge technology and aerospace companies in the world.
This is a new position, with a focus on general administration duties, you will also be trained to become actively involved in all areas within a busy QA department.
We are looking for an individual who is keen to learn new skills and has an excellent work ethic.
You will be trained to inspect and package precision optical components. You will also be required to identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventative actions within the company quality system and monitor progress of these towards closing issues in an acceptable timeframe.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Support Quality Control/Despatch and Metrology Team.
• Managing filing systems and databases.
• Monitor and record delivery of all shipments, liaising with customers and couriers to resolve any issues.
• Work to improve quality and efficiency at all times.
• Maintain accurate stock record by carrying out periodic inventory counts and resolving discrepancies.
• Notify suppliers of non-conformances, working with them to improve quality where necessary.
• As well as any ad hoc duties.
Qualifications and experience:
Essential:
• Experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role.
• Ability to learn technical specifications/drawings. (Training will be given).
• An interest in science and technology.
• Keen to learn.
• Good eye for detail.
• Exceptional organisational skills.
• Able to work to deadlines.
• Efficient communication skills.
Desirable:
• SAP Business One (Training will be given).
Key Skills:
• Knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn and use different database systems.
• Ability to work in a busy office where flexibility is necessary to deal with changing priorities.
Hours of work
Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00 Friday 08:30-15:00
20 days annual leave + bank holidays
