You will lead our Aspirations service which uses arts, sports and training opportunities to support people with poor mental health who are unemployed and geographically or socially isolated.

The Aspirations service helps people to build confidence, develop emotional resilience and learn new skills. Doing so will provide them a pathway to work and volunteering opportunities.

As well as leading our Aspirations team and managing its performance, you will play a key role in the development of the service. This will involve ensuring Porchlight has strong relationships with the people who commission and fund us to do this work, and also with other health & social care and voluntary sector organisations we work alongside.

You will also work closely with other Porchlight managers to identify future funding opportunities which will allow for the continuation of the good work this service delivers.

Our Aspirations service is a Building Better Opportunities (BBO) project funded by the European Social Fund and the Lottery Community Fund.

The role requires:
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Significant experience of multi-agency working / strategic partnerships
- Experience and knowledge of health & social care
- Significant experience of managing large scale projects or contracts
- A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).

Interview date: TBC
Contract: Fixed Term until 30th June 2023
Working Pattern: 9am – 5pm weekdays (although some flexibility may be required)
