The company…Eyewear distributor and online retailer.

We are Goodlookers; an established eyewear brand, acknowledged for our market-leading collection of reading glasses, sunglasses and eyewear accessories. Trading initially as a B2B setup, we have more-recently established a very successful and fast-growing B2C ecommerce store. We are now creating this new and exciting role in order to help us continue to accelerate our growth online.

The role… Ecommerce Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to become the Ecommerce Manager within this company. This is a brand-new role with a great starting salary on offer, and even better potential earnings for the right person once they have become an important and influential part of our small (yet growing!) team.

The role offered is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hour contract) position, working from our head office and distribution centre in Rochester, Kent. Working closely with the Directors and staff, the successful applicant will assume responsibility of coordinating the ongoing maintenance, development and growth of the company’s ecommerce activities, currently constituting a UK retail site, US retail site and trade B2B site.

Key Responsibilities…

· Caretaking, developing and improving the company’s website. Making the most of the success we are currently experiencing and taking it to new levels.

· Working closely with company’s web development agency.

· Proactively improving the company’s ecommerce activities. Thinking outside the box and keeping a finger on the pulse with latest technologies.

· Technical overseeing of digital marketing activities, including social media (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Shopping. Working with company’s digital marketing agencies.

· Website CMS management (Magento).

· Search Engine Optimisation and adoption of SEO principles throughout work.

· Working with staff to manage email marketing campaigns and strategies (Mailchimp).

· Caretaking and overseeing of website/software integrations and APIs (Magento, Sage, Amazon, Mailchimp, Payment Portals, Facebook)

· Overseeing and development of sales on 3rd party selling platforms such as Amazon.

· Digital reporting and analysis (Analytics, AdWords, Facebook Business Manager etc.) and working closely with the staff to monitor KPIs.

· Competitor analysis.

· Responsible for smooth running of the website at all times

Key Skills…

· Friendly, enthusiastic, hard-working and committed.

· Organised and efficient, with good communication skills. Able to deal with various outside resources (developers, marketing agencies, plug-in support, hosting company etc.) whilst working collaboratively with the team.

· Ability to configure plugins and integrations.

· Experience using digital marketing channels, specifically Google and Facebook.

· Flair for digital marketing practices and brand building.

· Strong eye for design and good understanding of UX.

· Good understanding of SEO.

· Proactive mindset. A good ‘ideas person’, with a drive and determination.

· Enthusiasm for new technologies.

· Ability to perform basic development tasks.

Advantageous skills…

· Experience using Adobe Software - Photoshop, Illustrator etc. - or similar.

· Interest in fashion and style.
