CarpenterJob Title: Carpenter/Multi Skilled Trade Operative
Salary: £30K – 35K DOE
Hours: 42.5 hours per week Monday – Friday (negotiable start/finish times)

At Paramount Independent Property Services, we are expanding our in-house maintenance to set up a dedicated fire risk assessment (FRA) team.

With this in mind, we have a position for an experienced Carpenter/Multi-trade to work within our vibrant and fast expanding property service company. Primarily the main requirement is the installation/repairs of fire doors but will also take into account all aspects of passive fire protection.

Based in our Rochester branch, you will be carrying out FRA works to ensure our housing stock meets the Regulatory Reform (Fire safety) Order 2005 and most importantly, to ensure our residents homes are safe environments for them to live in. You will also be responsible for carrying out appropriate building maintenance repairs, including all aspects of Carpentry works, basic Plumbing in an efficient and effective manner and in accordance with the requirements of current legislation and regulation

This position will involve some travelling as our properties are located all over the south-east. A company vehicle will be provided with a fuel card. The role invariably entails working on your own but will also require a good teamwork ethic.

In this role you will take a proactive approach to carrying out works from a pre-determined assessment, general maintenance and other planned works if required to do so. All works should be carried out in a professional and safe manner

A full, clean driving license is required in this role

Duties include:
• High standard in Carpentry skills including fire door installation
• Basic Plumbing and general domestic maintenance skills


Skills essential/desired in this role:

• City & Guilds Level 2 in Carpentry (Or equivalent) and experience of FRA works and its
application
• Good Communication Skills
• Experience in working within a Social Housing background is a plus
• Health and safety training (desired)
• Customer Care training (desired)
• Experienced in lone working (desired)
