Reed Facilities have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join an e-commerce retailer in Sittingbourne to assist in driving the company forward as they grow.

Friday 7am – 2pm

Saturday, Sunday and Monday 7am – 5pm

(However, you will be flexible if required)

Key responsibilities:

Managing the weekend goods out / goods in process
Managing a staff base with a combination of full time and zero-hour contract staff with a strict control over cost
Being solely responsible for the training / development of new staff within the warehouse
Having a keen eye for HR / Safety related Issues within the warehouse environment
Working closely with other Assistant Warehouse Managers to ensure the Warehouse operation operates as efficiently as possible throughout the 7-day operation
Maintain a high level of stock accuracy through regular stock takes in a live environment
Drive efficiencies within the warehouse operations by regularly reviewing staff pick times / pack times and identifying where changes to speed up these times can be made.
Daily reporting to Operations Manager detailing operations activity.
Ensuring the buildings are alarmed and locked at the end of each shift.
Ensuring that relevant KPI’s are correctly filled out in a timely manner
Skill set required:

Strong excel skills
Experience of dealing with courier networks, specifically Royal Mail
Experience of dealing with inventory management programs (Linnworks would be a distinct advantage)
Strong leadership & staff management skills
Ability to motivate their team to go the extra mile
Excellent communication skills
Strong organisation - must be able to prioritise and see the bigger picture whilst working alongside the team
Experience within a similar role
