Accounts Assistant – Maidstone
We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Accounts Assistant on a full time basis for a busy Mechanical and Electrical Contractor in Maidstone. Hours of work are 8.00-17.00 Monday – Thursday, 8.00-16.00 Friday. (39 hours per week) Hybrid working would be considered for the right applicant.
o Processing high volumes of Subcontractor applications against price sheets and raising payment in accounting software to tight deadlines
o Managing Client application process, issuing applications to Clients and liaising with Client team to ensure timely payment of works
o Processing fortnightly payroll ready for issue to external payroll company
o Costing and analysing company credit card expenditure
o Processing VAT returns
o Processing CIS returns, verifying new subcontractors
o General administration duties including answering telephones
The successful candidate must have exceptional organisational skills with an ability to manage and prioritise their own workload. We are looking for someone with high attention to detail, excellent computer skills, and the ability to work on their own initiative.
