This is an exciting time for HR at Kent, having recently completed a period of transformational change to respond to sector challenges, raise our profile and deliver an ambitious Kent 2025 strategy. As part of these changes, we're looking for a part time HR Coordinator (0.5 FTE / 17.5 hours per week) to join our recently created Central Services Human Resources team. We are happy to consider applications from candidates seeking either ongoing or fixed term employment.

HR is at the heart of everybody's working life at Kent and our new roles and structure will only make this stronger. The HR Coordinator is a key member of the Central HR team and will be the first point of contact for all general HR enquiries from both managers and members of staff. You'll provide a full range of HR administration and assistance across all aspects of the employee experience. In addition, you'll provide first line advice on HR policies and procedures, particularly in relation to contracts and contractual entitlements/benefits. This is a generalist role and as such you'll need to be flexible in the tasks which are undertaken as part of your role.

To be successful in this role you will have/be:


  • recent experience of working within HR

  • significant experience in a service based environment providing administrative support

  • high level of attention to detail and fantastic organisational skills

  • High level of proficiency in the full range of Microsoft Office applications; particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
