A chef is required for a busy transport and Logistics Company near Dover, this role will involve working on a shift which includes weekends and the shifts are 8.75 hours each (42 hour week)
The primary responsibility is to assist the head chef and prepare the food orders for the busy café serving tasty and filling traditional UK and European dishes from early in the morning to late at night.
About the role
* Operate your own shift service, preparing and cooking meals to order
* Assist with the menu planning and the preparation of daily special dishes
* Provide a high level of quality cooking and service
* Ensure that the café runs smoothly and is run in a professional manner
* Maintain, monitor and ensure best practices for food hygiene in accordance with EHO requirements
About you
* Previous experience working within a kitchen environment
* Demonstrable cooking experience
* Catering qualification (Food Hygiene Certificate)
* Able to create dishes from scratch as well as experience of creating daily specials and producing food to a high standard
