As part of Porchlight’s employment team, you will help people experiencing poor mental health to find work. We know that gaining employment can play an important part in someone’s mental health recovery. Working with your colleagues and the local NHS community mental health team*, you’ll provide support that allows people to take this important step towards independence.

If you want rewarding (and sometimes challenging) job that makes a real a difference to people’s lives, we want to hear from you.

*These employment adviser roles are part of a national IPS Grow scheme - funded by NHS England to increase the number of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services across secondary mental health services. This funding has enabled a Kent and Medway Individual Placement and Support (IPS) collaborative network of organisations to be set up between Porchlight, Shaw Trust, and Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT).

The role requires:

- Good communication and people skills
- A person-centred approach to helping people: focusing on what they can do, and not their condition
