Hard Services Manager (Estates)
c£35,000 - c£40,000 Depending on Experience

Interpersonnel Recruitment is proud to be in partnership with a leading organisation to recruit for a Hard Services Manager to support the Estate Services Team.

The Hard Services Manager will lead and support the Estate Services team undertaking all hard services tasks to deliver efficient maintenance and compliance of the estate buildings and services.

Reporting to the Estate Services Manager, the successful applicant will manage and effectively deliver hard services and schedule resource to ensure high standards of service in line with agreed SLA’s, controlling labour and material costs.

The achievement of high standards through regular audits will ensure works are carried out in a timely manner using appropriate techniques and methods, to the required standard and legislation.

The appointed candidate must have previous experience and have a recognised qualification to demonstrate professional competence. To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate a positive, proactive and flexible approach in delivering a high-quality customer-focused service to staff. This will also include supporting not only maintenance activities but also events when requested, on a 5/7 day working week.

Main Tasks:
• To be responsible for the day to day management of Estate Services team providing technical and professional support to the estates multi discipline maintenance team, contractors and consultants. This will include health and safety, training, maintenance and compliance of all buildings, facilities and infrastructure.
• Manage scheduling of resource to ensure high standards of service in line with agreed SLA’s, controlling labour and material costs.
• To carry out regular audits of buildings, services, plant and infrastructure to ensure works are carried out in a timely manner using appropriate techniques, and methods of best practice to the required standard and legislation.
• To act on and report to the Estate Services Manager any potential hazards to employees or visitors to the estate.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement to ensure the department follows best practice and industry standards.
• Deliver annual team development reviews; identify and develop training need requirements.
• To continually promote and support a “team spirit” within the Estate Services department and other Teams. Recognise the importance of ‘teamwork’ to achieve the Foundation objectives and to contribute effectively in developing our service.
• Ensure high standards of behaviour, performance and appearance, ensuring that the designated uniform is worn at all times.
• To be successful in this role, you must have a trade background, proven experience managing direct and subcontracted labour, excellent leadership skills and financial acumen.
