Do you have an understanding of recruitment within Higher Education and an interest in organising events for students? Then this role within the Marketing, Outreach, Recruitment and Admissions (MORA) team could be for you.

As Marketing Assistant, you will provide admin support to the Marketing team to deliver a wide range of marketing activity to ensure the University successfully recruits undergraduate and postgraduate students from across the UK and EU. A key part of the role is to process and coordinate purchase orders and invoices and liaise with suppliers and Finance. You will also help promote and attend recruitment events including open days. The role will require collaboration with colleagues across MORA, Academic Divisions and across the University as well as potential students and their influencers.

This role is being offered on an ongoing, part time basis (namely 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday; exact working pattern TBC with successful candidate).

As Marketing Assistant, you will:

work with the Marketing team providing administrative support to help deliver annual plans for a series of on and offline campaigns to successfully attract and convert potential students
provide frontline service to internal and external stakeholders
support the Marketing team in order to ensure the smooth running of their campaigns, including the production of relevant artwork and publications and the processing and payment of purchase orders and invoices
To be successful in this role you will have:

experience of working within an effective events and/or student recruitment team
knowledge and understanding of recruitment in the Higher Education sector
excellent IT skills (particularly MS Office packages and databases) with the ability to analyse, interpret and present data
The Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment, Outreach and Admissions is a new directorate and aims to bring together the University’s key recruitment activities to ensure that a co-ordinated and collaborative approach is taken. With a focus on outcomes, it has ambitious targets to achieve across all audiences.
