May Lodge, part of The CareTech Group, is a residential service which provides care and support for up to 6 adults with multiple severe learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, physical disabilities and autism.
May Lodge is a gorgeous bungalow, that is fully accessible to people in wheelchairs, with a fantastic well used outdoor space.
The service is set within a residential housing area, but is set back from a busy road and has on-site parking. It has good transport links to Ashford and Folkestone.
35 hours per week
£9.18 per hour
£500 Welcome Bonus (*terms apply)

Paid after successful completion of probation period (6 months) or, if part time or bank, work the equivalent of 975 hours.
Payments are subject to taxable deductions
The welcome bonus can be withdrawn at any time and without notice.

Main duties and responsibilities:
To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning, hygiene (personal care is required) and social events.
To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.
Personal Characteristics:
Diploma (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one.
Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
The ability to keep calm under pressure.
The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills
The passion to work with vulnerable adults
The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
