Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk | Tonbridge | 22-25k pro rata

An established UK business with offices in Tonbridge, Kent, is looking to appoint an experienced part time Purchase Ledger clerk to join their team initially on a fixed term contract for 12 months, working around 25 hours per week. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the AP function, managing customer invoicing and documentation whilst dealing with queries in an efficient manner.

Key tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Register, check, code and process supplier invoices for accuracy. This includes: -
- Scanning & indexing all invoices
- Check Service Agent invoices against system authorisation
- Obtain authorisation where required
- Resolve queries promptly
• Processing Stock Invoices against Purchase Orders, and delivery notes
• Twice a month Bacs Run (Mid and End)
• Monthly Expenses (sales and admin)
• Bank Reconciliation
• Perform regular supplier reconciliation, review, and clear overdue accounts
• Save online /filing all invoices once payment is made
• Maintaining general ledger analysis.
• Ensure suppliers paid within terms.
• Ensure timely month-end close of purchase ledger.
• Perform other Finance related tasks to assist with the Finance team workload.

Candidates will have a good working knowledge of purchase ledger, have good IT skills and want to be part of a close knit, team orientated business. In addition, strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task will also be key.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a successful business in a busy role with the opportunity of a permanent role after the initial 12 months contract. Hours c25 per week.
