An interesting new Scientific instruction from an established client and global manufacturing organisation (non-food) for an Analytical Chemist.
This is an urgent requirement within the Chemistry Department and is being presented on a full time, fixed term contract basis for 12 months. You will be working Monday to Friday days, 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm.
In reality, this is an ideal entry level role or could be suitable for someone with say 6 months experience in an Analytical Laboratory, so there is lots of flexibility in terms of the ideal applicant, so the salary is flexible according to experience as well, but nevertheless a superb opportunity for someone looking to gain more experience - all within a supported, professional lab setting.
The primary purpose of the Analytical Chemist is to analyse Finished Products and Raw Material to the company’s specifications, meeting statutory and regulatory customer requirements within the Good Control Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Analytical Quality Control (ACQ) framework.
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities we are seeking:
In order to meet the needs of the role of Analytical Chemist we are ideally looking for combination of: Experience or knowledge of working to manufacturing practices cGMP, experience with Excel, any experience in HPLC/ CAPA/ Change Control/Validation of Products & Equipment.
Job Content will include a combination of (but not limited to):
Testing of finished products
Testing raw and incoming materials according to the appropriate specifications
Performing in process cheques on bulk products both pre and post filtration as necessary
Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is routinely calibrated and is in good working order
Preparing and maintaining a range of standard solutions and bench reagents used in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of incoming samples within the cGLP framework
Recording all results as per cGMP standards
Assisting the Chemistry Lab Manager in the validation of new and existing test methods
Assisting the Chemistry Lab Manager in the investigation of out of specification samples/batches
