PSV Bus & Coach Auto Electrician

Salary: £16.00 per hour

Benefits: Protective wear including overalls and footwear provided. 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, Accommodation could be provided

Hours: Hours of work are based on 45-hour week, on early/late shift rotation: 05:00-15:00/ 09:00-19:00 Mon-Fri. You would also be required to work on our 24 hours on call rota based on 1 week per month.

We are looking for a Bus & Coach Auto Electrician to join our team in Kent. We are committed to providing quality coach travel, we have years of experience and are pleased to offer luxury in various size coaches, double decker buses and mini-buses with seating plans from 16 to 100-seater; many seat-belted and PSVAR compliant.

They are a family orientated coaching company that has been providing quality travel throughout the UK since established in 2003. With such a long history in the coaching industry and experience that this has brought they are proud to be among the largest independent operators in the region with a fleet of over 30 vehicles.

Due to continued success they are looking for a qualified & suitably experienced PCV mechanic able to carry out vehicle fault diagnosis to repair to a large fleet of Volvo/Mercedes coaches, in a new purpose-built workshop.

Duties Include:

• Diagnostic fault finding

• Using diagnostic equipment

• Using wiring diagrams to understand the electrical systems

• Wiring loom fittings

• Scheduled vehicle maintenance

• Unscheduled minor and major repairs

• MOT preparations

• Completion of paperwork to DVSA standards

• Breakdown assistance

• Emergency out-of-hours assistance

• Assistance in keeping up with H&S legislation

• Any other reasonable tasks as deemed necessary

The Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent as minimum

• full driving licence essential

• PCV licence would be preferable but not essential.
