About the role: Milestone Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Apprentice) to join their vibrant team from September 2021. The successful candidates will undertake a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship. Whether you are a school leaver or more experienced Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant, this programme will offer you the chance to develop your skills and get ahead in your career. This role is ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping children, particularly with learning difficulties. Candidates who are appointed will receive full support and training from colleagues and teachers.

The basis of the role is fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship (12-18 month approximately), 31.75 hours per week, Term Time only. Our successful candidates will work towards a nationally-recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, delivered by LAT Apprenticeships.

Apprenticeship Summary

Working weeks: Monday - Friday during Term Time +1 week

Total hours per week (on average): 31.75 hours per week (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship Programme)

Apprenticeship duration: 12 - 18 months

Programme delivery type: All modules are delivered as a combination of online learning which can be completed at your place of work, classroom sessions and contrasting work placements in schools

Start date: September 2021

Essential entry qualifications: GCSEs A* - C, Maths and English
