Broking Support Technician
An opportunity to join a global insurance & reinsurance broking business headquartered in the City of London. This role can accommodate some home working, if desired.
Providing technical support with the accurate and timely creation of client and market documentation, bordereau and statistics together with all associated paper/electronic records to maintain a comprehensive audit trail for future reference
In this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in international property, casualty, marine and aviation risks for open market and binder channels.
Duties & Responsibilities:
ïDrafting (in a timely manner) client evidence of coverage to include Cover Notes, Addenda, Debit/Credit Notes and all related documentation and with guidance produce Monthly Bordereau and Statistics, updating records accordingly
ïWith assistance produce Contract Endorsements for underwriter agreement if and when necessary
ïEnsure all documentation meets Contract Certainty and regulatory guidelines
ïWill work collaboratively with other teams as and when necessary
ïSubmits Slips and LPAN's to Bureau (XIS) for signing
ïProvides swift and accurate resolution of any queries received, seeking assistance where necessary
ïEnsures internal paper & electronic systems, databases and work flows as they relate to Technical are maintained
ïUses Broking Systems to produce documents and accounting entries and ensure their accuracy
ïWill make use of London Market based portals to facilitate their role, such as, but not limited to; XIS Insurance Portal and the IMR as well as Lineage
Skills & Knowledge :
ï·Candidates will need to show 2 years + experience within a London Market technical support role from any line of insurance.
ï·Knowledge of the processes, documentation and procedures associated with transacting business into the London Market.
ï·Understanding the function of Xchanging and use of portals.
ï·Good communication and interpersonal skills
ï·Work with guidance within agreed procedures and processes
ï·Well organised and able to prioritise and multi-task.
ï·Team player and willing to work flexibly and assist colleagues as required
