As an Account Manager for the North American territory, you’ll be the single point of contact and responsible for managing a group of our key clients across the region. You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of both our products and their business so that you can build confidence and trust, and ultimately increase customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
In addition to working with an existing group of clients, you will be expected to present and demonstrate our products to potential clients, across the same territory to show how they can get full value from our solutions.
You will work within a team of account managers, all dedicated to specific clients or regions, and report to the Head of Sales. As you will be managing clients across North America you will be expected to work your hours accordingly, typically your day may run from 13:00 - 21:30. You will also be expected to attend on-site client meetings and international events once travel resumes.
Ideally, you will have 5+ years in a similar account management role.
Responsibilities
* Manage a group of existing clients and grow this group through selling our products to further publishers in your region
* Facilitate weekly account calls and monthly or quarterly business reviews with your clients as required
* Keep detailed notes of all client interactions and contacts across your client group, using Salesforce as a record
* Take an active interest in any issues that are raised by your group of clients to the support team, and understand the problems and the resolution
* Work closely with other Account Managers in the business and encourage knowledge sharing
* Understand your market, the position of your clients and their competitors to identify opportunities for both them and ourselves
* Feedback client requests to the Product team so that they can be prioritised for development on the core product
Key areas of focus
Communication
Drive transparency and communication across all areas of the business but especially between the account management team, project, support, and development team, ensuring that the status of client work for your accounts is clear at all times. As a problem solver, you eliminate conflicts, work with your clients to develop appropriate solution strategies, and keep an eye on potential future tensions.
Planning
Work with your Sales Manager, Project, and Development teams to prioritise and plan work for your clients.
Track and document work for your clients and use this as a tool within business review meetings to expand the relationship and scope of work.
Sales
Actively identify market opportunities within your region and work with the lead generation and marketing team to expand your client group.
Lead product demonstrations and make product-based sales into qualified accounts that have been identified by active lead generation.
