An interesting new instruction for an Artwork Co-ordinator with key client and major employer in the Folkestone area.

Essentially the role of Artwork Co-ordinator is a project management/co-ordinator type of role working with internal and external stakeholders in the marketing team, on artwork/packaging.

Who are we looking for? In order to meet the requirements of the role, we are ideally looking for applications from individuals with experience in print/print management/packaging with exceptional organisational skills plus good project management skills, as there will be a number of individual projects/deadlines to meet!

We are looking for an energetic team player, someone instrumental in creating an exciting team spirit where a positive, creative atmosphere transfers to the rest of the organisation, someone who can make a difference.

This could, for example, be ideal for someone who has worked in Marketing who has been involved in the packaging design of marketing and have good project management skills, do some flexibility in relation to the ideal candidate.

The role is being presented initially on a fixed term contract for 6 months with the possibility of an extension thereafter.
You will be working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday and a combination of 2/3 days within the office, with the remainder working from home. We are also open to applicants, perhaps looking for part time so please specify your preference with applying.
An exceptional hourly rate is available.

Education & previous work experience desired?
Ideally Graduate level with a good degree
Experience in printing and print management
Any experience gained with FMCG (fast moving consumer goods)o or CPG brands (consumer packaged goods) helpful.
Good technical understanding of printing and artwork creation
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills – financial and market research/data
Additional European languages are not essential but French or German could be useful Personal Computer skills to include mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Driving licence

Key purpose of the position:
To assist the various teams in the development of artwork, inputting to initial designs, briefing artwork agency, managing approval process and ensuring that the final artwork that goes to the printers meets the desired results and specifications.
Our client works to a right first time and on time philosophy with artwork and you will be vital in delivering this. This requires fastidious attention to detail and good organisation to ensure everything fully approved by the required partners in the business. It will also require you to become a subject matter expert in the wide variety of print suppliers and print processes so you can become a trusted advisor to the teams during the design development stages.
The key contacts on a day to day basis are the artwork agency, the brand managers, the project managers, quality control, procurement and suppliers. You are the central contact point and ensure all parties share common knowledge and are working to the right priorities and deadlines in the development and delivery of artwork.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Include but not limited to, monitoring how well the process is working throughout its various stages,
through gathering feedback and propose changes to improve the process.
Work with the key business partners to update, document and embed changes to the process as and when required.

Other areas of the role include:
Input to design development.
Approval Process.
Managing the proofing process.
