Receptionist / Administration Support – Pembroke House – Gillingham, Kent
The receptionist / administration support is accountable to the Residents, Events & Hospitality Officer (REHO) and The Employee Service Officer (ESO) and will be responsible for the following duties.
• Identifying areas of improvement, action planning, and management of change to achieve Compliance with the Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs).
• To be responsible for the training matrix of all staff and to liaise with ESO to organise and implement induction for all new staff.
• To monitor and report on the training needs with regard to Quality Assurance requirements and the safe KLOE.
• To complete tasks as required by the REHO and ESO.
• Supporting resident and staff surveys.
• Develop positive working relationships with the home staff and outside agencies, to promote effective working.
• To have full responsibility for the rotas: effective rotas that meet the needs of the home.
• To participate in the evening and weekend rotas.
Skills Experience and Personal Qualities
The person holding the position of Receptionist / Administration Support should have the following qualities and competencies.
• Communication and administrative skills
• Strong, resilient and outgoing personality
• Enthusiasm, patience and flexibility
• Experience of working in an administrative role
• Competent and familiar with office based IT systems including Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards would be an advantage
• Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and prioritise own workload effectively
• Appreciation of importance of confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with residents and staff
