We are working in partnership with one of our Dartford based clients to recruit a permanent Route Planner, who will be based within the Transport Department.
As the Route Planner you will be responsible for ensuring that an efficient route planning process is in place to meet agreed delivery schedules and customer requirements using a fully trained and assessed driver workforce. Optimising the fleet use whilst achieving service levels, cost criteria and human resource commitments. As you will be assisting the Transport Supervisor with other duties as and when required you will need a flexible approach to work duties. The planning of routes is crucial to meet the demands of the clients on a daily basis.
For this role you will need to have a good knowledge of the UK road network with a very good understanding of Working Time Directives and EU Drivers Hours. You should also have the ability to prioritise workloads whilst working to tight deadlines. You will need to be analytical and logical in your approach to scheduling whilst your computer experience to work on various in-house systems. A full driving licence is required due to working within the Transport team.
Hours: Monday to Friday 11am - 8pm
Benefits include: 21 days holiday rising to 25 days with service, Free Parking and a performance related bonus scheme.
