Rapport Housing and Care
Non-Executive Board Members
Cuxton (Near Rochester), Kent
Unremunerated ± expenses paid
Rapport Housing and Care is a registered charity and housing association that was established in Medway in 1967 to provide housing and support for older people. Over the last 54 years it has grown considerably and the organisation now offers care homes along with supported and extra care housing across Kent. In addition to this, it currently has planning consent to deliver a £50M development programme providing extra care housing schemes and an exciting business plan along with immense determination to deliver more schemes.
Operating from our head office in a Medway village, the executive team manage the Organisation and, meeting five times a year, our trustees govern and provide strategic oversight.
Our committed and enthusiastic Board is drawn from a range of backgrounds and our members bring together professional, commercial and local experience. We are now looking to build the skills of the Board particularly in the following areas:
- The regulatory framework in social housing
- The regulatory framework in adult social care
- Human Resources
Most important however is a real empathy with the aims of the Organisation.
We care for peoples needs - not bricks and mortar - and we are proud of our history in meeting the needs of vulnerable people in later life.
Rapport Housing and Care offers Supported, Residential and Nursing Care to older people with physical frailty and Dementia across Kent.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
We want everyone who meets us, no matter in what context, to experience our friendly, caring, compassionate philosophy, which runs through our whole organisation. We are a leading housing and social care provider in the south-east, flexible and responsive to the needs of people in later life.
OUR VALUES:
o Compassion: behaving in a manner that treats people with respect and dignity, listening to what they say and responding;
o Openness: Offering high quality services that are adaptable, flexible and that meet the changing needs of service users in a manner that offers genuine choice;
o Integrity: acting at all times in an honest and straightforward way with all those with whom we come into contact;
o People focussed: reflecting the ethos inherent in the organisations philosophy.
If our philosophy attracts you and you would like to discuss this rewarding opportunity further, take a look at the Information Pack at
www.rapporthousingandcare.co.uk then call Jodie Turner on 01634 729163.
We welcome applications from all candidates from all backgrounds, and we encourage applications from women and ethnic minorities, who are currently under-represented in this part of the business.
