Logistics and Distribution Manager

My client based in Mid Kent require an experienced Logistics and Distribution Manager with good up to date knowledge of customs regulations.

Duties will include:

* Working closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure stock levels are always maintained to maximum efficiency
* Line management of 2
* Liaising closely with third parties couriers/freight forwarders
* Managing all relevant dispatch documentations requirements
* Ensuring full compliance with customs regulations
* Working with Production teams to support continuous improvement to prevent excess waste
* Developing and implementing new logistics strategies
* Reporting, analysis and presentation
* Keeping up to date with market info
* Other duties as required



The ideal candidate will be/have:

* Strong, relevant experience in a similar role
* Up to date knowledge of customs regulations
* Working knowledge of all legislation related to logistics and customs
* A meticulous attention to detail
* The ability to manage a heavily administrative workload
* First class customer service skills
* The ability to deal with ever changing working environments
* Outstanding interpersonal skills
* Ideally educated to graduate level
