About the role: The Hundred of Hoo Nursery and Afterschool Club have a rare opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to join their friendly and collaborative team in the role of Early Years Educator. Working 22.5 hours per week, this is an ideal role for those of you seeking a part-time position. Our nursery is open throughout the year with three sets closure periods; 1 week at Christmas and 2 weeks during the middle of the summer break. Our successful candidate must have a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification and the hourly rate is £9.34. The basis of this role is fixed term until August 2022.

Working with our academy: The Hundred of Hoo Academy is a unique all through academy with pupils from Reception up to Sixth Form, and whilst this role supports the entire academy, it is most likely the successful candidate will work with pupils aged 11-16 on a daily basis. In September 2011, The Hundred of Hoo converted to academy status. Just one year later, Ofsted judged the academy as “good with outstanding features” recognising the relentless focus and ambition that we have. In September 2015 the academy welcomed its first Reception class thereby extending its age range to 4-year-old children. This exciting provision demonstrates the academy’s sense of ambition to serve the community where pupils’ academic journey represents a cradle to university principle.

We are delighted to announce that following a recent Ofsted inspection in July 2018 the academy has been judged 'Good' with 'Outstanding' features in terms of our early years provision and effectiveness of leadership and management.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2020, our Trust will comprise 28 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 15 primaries and 2 special) educating over 16,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.
