Network Security Project Manager

Six months contract, c£45k pro rata + benefits

An IT Project Manager with experience in Project Management, Systems security and networking.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for IT systems and network compliance. Owning network and system integrity and security.
- The provision of IT support to desktop applications, networks and CRM Systems and the management of the current partners in order to achieve this.
- Experience of working in a business with Finance, Sales, and Operations applications across a dispersed networked systems is essential.
- Good knowledge of system and network security also useful.
- Must be willing to get ‘hands on’ in technical support.
- Must have a good range of technical skills and the ability to develop and implement new systems according to SLAs and agreed budgets.
- Run regular checks on network and data security.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
- Develop, implement and auditing experience of IT policy and ability to deploy best practice guides across the organisation.
- Run, manage and share regular operation system reports with senior staff.
- Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
Required skills:
- Microsoft Office 365 and Azure experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Business Server.
- Database and File Hierarchy Management experience.
- Solid experience in IT infrastructure and networking planning and development.
- Maintaining spend within agreed budgets and budget planning.
- Evidence of strong team leading and communication skills.
- Hands on technical skills as well as strategic and procedural skills.
Functional Activities
Monitoring and Control
· Have formal service contracts and SLAs in place with all IT service providers.
· Have in place a structure to control and manage the implementation of software/application ‘patches’ on all applications and devices (including remote users).
· To have implemented a robust back-up strategy for all applications and data including a restore/validation routine to minimise risk from server/network malware or failure.
File Storage
· Audit permissions and hierarchy within SharePoint and identify and train divisional/functional system leads for the relevant areas of the system
· Detail a digital/file archiving policy for SharePoint - audit and implement across the whole business.
· Removal of all non-SharePoint file storage and conduct a user audit of One-Drive compliance.
Training and Awareness
· Implement a structure and training tool/application for testing and threat awareness from ‘phishing’ and ‘ransomware’ attacks.
· Recruit, induct and train a full-time Junior IT Manager (second-half of project) to take over management of the network and the established security and system protocols.
