Your new company
A well-established Main contractor seek an experienced QS to join their busy commercial team, Working across London Kent and Sussex they have a diverse portfolio of works including education, Residential, fitout, listed building and commercial new builds, Working in new purpose built office and holding a great record for staff retention they are now strengthening after a recent framework win which will add an additional 5 new projects int he coming months. The new projects are healthcare related values between 500k - £2 mill range and all for the same client. This is a permanent vacancy working between home, Sites (kent based) and office (SE London based)

Your new role
Whilst you will be part of the stable commercial team of 10 you will also be a key part of a newly formed team to deliver the new package of works, working closely with a contracts manager and site management team in Kent.
Reporting to the commercial director you will have direct responsibility for upto 3 schemes totalling approx £6 mill. You will be responsible for managing all financials relative to your schemes including cost reporting, seeking to minimise costs, enhance value for money and achieve the required standards for quality. You will also assist in procuring subcontractors and materials via the buying department and be a liaison between the various in house departments to assure the schemes are being built to spec and budget in-line with the contract. The role will be based between site and the office in North Kent with home working available in the short term.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven Quantity Surveyor experience, working for a main contractor ideally in the commercial new build & refurb markets. You will hold the relevant qualifications and be looking for a long term career move.
